We list & review sites/apps related with Anime/Manga (Otaku) culture. Every review is manually crafted from our own testing. The goal is to provide an up-to-date, reliable list of the best Anime/Manga websites for an English-speaking audience. We never accept sponsorships, donations, or any kind of transactions that could influence our rankings. Our evaluations are based solely on each site itself. We also maintain a community that sources information, shares news/updates, and discusses anything related to current sites/apps.

Otaku Culture

While the term can be interpreted in several ways (originally referring to Japan's subculture). In this context it encompasses various subcultures based on specific interests and hobbies around East-Asian style entertainment/media, and aligns closely with ACG culture.

We don't accept donations. however, you can still contribute by sharing the site with others.

Site Requirements

Site requirement to be reviewed are different on each category, but generally are :

- Appropriate with the category and relevant with Otaku culture.

- Site working as intended (not down, inaccessible, or broken).

- Have enough contents available.

- Not deceptive or malicious.

- Usable for English-speaking audience.

Rank Criteria

Rank criteria are different for each category, but generally based on these things :

- Popularity and track record*. (Very important)

- The size of its content library. (Very important)

- Service reliability. (Important)

- Quality of the contents. (Important)

- User interface and usability. (Important)

- Features / options available on the site. (Less important)

- Community interaction on the site. (Less important)

- How clean is the site in terms of ads. (Less important)*

*Bad ads will be displayed as negative point, but it has only a slight impact on rankings.
*Long track record means the site has been able to consistently provide service for a long period of time.

Grouped entries

Each of entries can contain multiple links, which are grouped together primarily for one of these reasons :

- Using exact same infrastructure / provide identical contents.

- It's part of same website (usually alternate domains or shortcut to other page in the website).

- Extremely similar and low effort site that we feel it's not worth to have dedicated entries. (This is rare)

Excluded entries

We don't review a site if it does not meet the requirements or if maintaining them would take too much effort. However, we never hide a website simply because it is low quality or because we think people shouldn't visit it. Our goal is to inform and let people judge for themselves. For example, we still list clones and scrapers. However, we will group them, label, and add notes to tell them apart.

Site with bad ads are NOT excluded from the list, you still need to be careful with misleading ads yourself or install an adblocker extension.
